Take a guided tour where you will explore the salt ponds and learn about the artisanal salt extraction process. During this experience, you will learn about the traditional techniques used by salt workers, the history of this practice and its cultural and economic importance in the region.
Tour of approximately 2 hours
In the afternoon, you will visit the highlights of Cabo de La Vela. You will start at Playa Arcoíris, famous for the spectacular rainbows that form when the water hits the rocks. Then, you will take a walk to the Pilón de Azúcar, a sacred place for the Wayúu community. You will have time to rest or take a swim at Playa Dorada. To close the day, you will enjoy the sunset at Playa Ojo de Agua or at El Faro, depending on the time you have spent in the previous destinations.
Take a 30-minute guided walk, during which you will be able to observe the biodiversity of flora and fauna in the forest reserve. At the end of the tour, you will reach the Montes de Oca Waterfall, where you will have the opportunity to enjoy a refreshing swim in its crystal-clear waters.
Delight yourself with a delicious lunch and enjoy the flavors of Arabic cuisine with its typical dishes
Visit the iconic Omar Ibn Al-Khattab Arab mosque in Maicao. Learn about its impressive architecture and learn about its history and cultural significance.
Enjoy an incredible sunrise and walk along the paradisiacal Mayapo beach, where you can do water sports (not included)
