Travel Tips

  • The climate varies from warm to cold depending on altitude and season. We recommended bringing layers of clothing to fit multiple weather conditions.
  • In higher altitude areas, such as Cuzco, it’s possible to experience altitude sickness. If possible, we advise taking necessary precautions and allowing time to acclimatize (Coca tea is a local remedy that can also help alleviate the symptoms of altitude sickness).
  • US dollars and credit cards are accepted in most places, but we still recommend carrying the local currency (Sol (PEN)) to get better rates.
