Boat trip (approximately 2 hours) along the Inírida River
Enjoy a walk on the white sand savannas of Caño Mavecure until you reach a small rock outcrop called Cerro Tortuga to watch the sunset.
The Mavecure hills are so imposing on the Amazon plain that they can be seen from Inírida. However, the view of the Mono and Pajarito hills from Cerro Mavicure (Venado in Puinave language) is the most privileged. You can go up to see the sunrise or sunset depending on the weather, but you will reach the top of the hill to see one of the most impressive landscapes in the entire Amazon. This hike is the most demanding of the entire adventure because of how steep it is. It lasts, depending on the pace, between 1:20 and 2 hours, but the effort will be completely worth it.
After lunch we can cool off in the waters of the Inírida River or the Caño San Joaquín with its orange waters. Then, we will arrive at a calm part of the Inírida River to look for pink dolphins, who usually frequent these waters to hunt.
Take the walk and ascend Cerro Flauta to contemplate the natural landscape that bathes this incredible landscape. If the weather does not allow this walk, you will be welcomed by the community so you can learn the ancestral process of Yuca Brava. In this transformation, Amazonian communities use instruments made of plant fibers to strain the cassava and extract a toxic component. After this process, cassava is ready for human consumption as a high-calorie carbohydrate.
We will arrive at the Inírida River Star where the Guaviare, Atabapo and Inírida rivers converge to join the great Orinoco River. The rains of the winter season have generated a wetland of vital importance for the biodiversity of the place, so much so that this incredible place is being analyzed to be part of the list of RAMSAR wetlands in the world.
Enjoy and cool off in the waters of the Atabapo River in the Piedra de Maviso. On the other side of the river you will be seeing the Venezuelan Amazon.
You will enter the forests of the Matavén jungle in the department of Vichada to ascend to the treetops and take a route 160 meters long and 15 meters high. (Activity subject to change due to weather conditions)
